New Building Commissioning
Overview
Commissioning was a relatively new idea when we started our company in 1999. Since then, it has become a staple of the construction process, both as a critical quality assurance mechanism and as way to realize any designed energy benefits.
Our process is both effective and thorough, as it is derived from the Building Commissioning Association's best practices. Our take makes it more owner-centric, and focuses on early involvement from occupants and staff to help shape the facilities around the intended everyday use. Owner's shouldn't have to waste time and resources to ensure their new facility is comfortable. That means more time to focus on your students, your business, or whatever your day-to-day goals are.
Commissioning will save you time, money, and a lot of headaches. This is what it did for the 1200 facilities we have commissioned, and what it can do for you. But don't take our word for it -
Here is a study by the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory that examines the costs and benefits of the commissioning process over the last 25-years. Spoiler alert - commissioning is worth every penny.
Here is the detailed publication of the Building Commissioning Association's best practices for new building commissioning.
There are resources available for you both to learn about commissioning and to see what it can do for your new facility. Give our team a call at 253.856.3322 or info@wcxg.com to learn more.
